These are exciting times at Codices. We are on the verge of launching the Closed Beta version of our platform, which means a non-stop routine of testing, testing, rinse, repeat and then more testing.

And just as excitingly — or maybe even more excitingly — we are building a community around it.

What’s likely to dominate the internet over the next 10 years? NFTs. Crypto. The Metaverse. Web 3.0. And — community. It’s now well established that nurturing and creating excited communities will give both new and old companies a major advantage. This isn’t exactly new of course — even back in ye olde history of the internet it’s what sites such as Reddit built their empires on.

As our new platform bursts into life — we’ve been pulling back the curtain to reveal details to interested investors and third parties — we are making community a cornerstone of its development. Not just on the platform itself, but in places like our Discord where we are offering community members ownership (‘Make your own show!’), creating buzz (‘Win merch in our stream of the month competitions’), creating shareable moments and a space that people want to return to.

It might be a lofty ambition, but we want to care about each member of our community as an individual to reflect what the platform itself has in store: putting broadcasters and viewers first. Giving them an experience that not only makes them feel special, create more and better content but encourages them to share and therefore increase our network effect.

We’re building it in semi-public: at this stage there are some admission criteria. And we’re learning along the way: being sincere and having the right tone of voice are key to our mission. We can’t wait to show you what we’ve created along with our community members over the next couple of months.

Or better still — come and join us. Message me at paul@codices.io and we’ll set you up.
